Bacon wrap burger
|Bacon wrapped burger
Ingredients:
300 gr lean minced beef
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp finely chopped garlic or garlic powder
1 tsp finely chopped fresh ginger or ginger powder
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh onion
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp salt
1 pcs egg (optional)
24 rashers streaky bacon
Method:
- Mix the minced beef and seasoning in a bowl. Using the palm of your hand, mix them well until they are not sticking to your hand and the bowl. Add the egg if the mixture is too dry, (leave the egg out if the consistency is just right). When the consistency is right, it shall not fall apart when you smash the mixture onto the kitchen bench (I use big plate instead of the bench). Do this a few times to make sure that the burgers will not fall apart when you cook them. Divide the burger mixture into 3 or 4 pieces and shape them into burgers with the palm of your hand, set aside.
- Take 6 rashers of bacon, lay them crisscross on your plate, put the beef burger in the middle, and then fold the edge of the bacon toward the middle of the beef burger (I normally secure the edge of the bacon with a toothpick). Repeat the process with the rest of the beef burgers and bacon.
- Cook them on the hot grill or griddle for about 5 to 7 minutes each side (depending on the thickness of your beef burger). You shall get crispy bacon outside but juicy burger inside. Serve them with green salad.
